Regina Ann Bunn

REGINA ANN BUNN, affectionately known as “Jeannie,” was born on May 30, 1951, a beautiful gift from God. She departed this life peacefully on April 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, quiet strength, and joyful service to others. A proud graduate of Coppin State University, Regina dedicated many years to public service, holding positions with both Baltimore City and the State of Maryland. She was also a licensed cosmetologist, a skill she wore with pride and used to lovingly care for those around her. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Regina was a woman of remarkable and God-given gifts —she possessed a beautiful singing voice that she freely shared with all who would listen, and she was a passionate and talented hand and tap dancer whose graceful movements brought joy and warmth to every room she entered. Regina was a devoted and faithful member of Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 63 years. She was a long-term children’s Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Missionary Ministry, where she loved to serve the Lord through service. Her commitment to her church family was unwavering, and her presence was a blessing to all who worshipped alongside her. Known for her gentle and quiet demeanor, Regina had a heart of gold. She gave of herself freely and never hesitated to help anyone in need. Above all else, the greatest joy of her life was her family — particularly her grandson, Russell (Jamar), and her beloved great-grandchildren, Brendan and Brooklynn. She poured into them intentionally, teaching them the importance of loving God, carrying themselves with dignity, and pursuing a good education. She was a devoted and loving mother to her one and only son, Russell Bunn, and her unconditional love for him was a testament to the depth of her character and dedication. Regina leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Elizabeth Gaskin; brothers, Reginald Jones and William Shakir; only son, Russell Bunn; grandsons, Russell Jamar Bunn (Kendra) and Tyree; great-grandchildren, Brendan and Brooklynn Bunn; dear friend and sister, Valerie Thomas (Glen); honorary daughter, Kim and granddaughter, Kayla Wilson; a host of loving cousins, nephews, nieces, and cherished friends whose lives she touched in immeasurable ways.
