JOHN ERIC ALDERMAN SR. was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 19,1966 to the late Mr. Frank Alderman Jr. and Mrs. Minnie McDowell. After a short illness, John was called home to rest in the Lord’s bosom on Sunday September 17, 2023. John passed peacefully from this life. John was educated in The Baltimore City Public School System. Where he attended Malcolm X Elementary School, Martin Luther King Middle School, and Forest Park High School. In 1990 John decided to further his education at All State Trucking Driving School. Where he received his license as a commercial driver (CDL). John enjoyed driving trucks from state to state. John was employed at numerous jobs during his life. Some include Holiday Inn, Burlington Coat Factory where he managed the Men’s shoe department, Truck Driver for The City of Baltimore, Cockey’s Enterprises Inc. As a professional driver, C&C Connections as a truck driver and BP gas station there he restored and repaired fuel pumps. John also started his own business where he detailed cars for the community, family and friends. John grew up in The Greater Refuge Church as a child under the leadership of Bishop Nelson, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Then in 1987 the love of his life “Shawn” whom he called “The Rose in his garden” invited John to join Mt. Olive Holy Evangelistic Church under the leadership of Pastor Murry. There he confessed and reconsecrated his life to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On December 21, 1991, John married his lifetime partner Shawn Alderman. From this union love was formed (Bonus daughter) Kearna. Children: Ayanna Alderman, John Eric Alderman Jr. Shay-na Alderman, and RaShawnda Alderman. John enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. John loved watching television with his only son (John Jr.) Some of their favorite things to watch together were Sports, The Animal Planet, Westerns, The Movies like the Terminator, Rocky (sequels) Steven Seagal and Wesley Snipes. He enjoyed time with the family on any occasion. He looked forward to Thanksgiving with the family where he would sit around and tell jokes. John enjoyed music. He self-taught himself to DJ. He would play his music for his children, nieces, and nephews and at family house parties. He called himself DJ E. Some of his hobbies included playing basketball, cutting hair, constructing properties, landscaping, and creating instrumental beats. John is preceded in death by his father Frank Alderman Jr., grandmothers Louise McDowell and Sylvia Moody, grandfathers John Henry and Frank Alderman Sr., his (Bonus Dad) Dennis Brown Sr., his sister Monique Billinger, nephews Dominick Brown Jr. and Chris Hazel, best friend since he was a teenager Curtis D. Hazel Sr., mother-in-law Barbara A. Evans and two sisters-in-law Rochelle Chappelle and Bianca Evans. John leaves to cherish his memory: his wife and love of his life, Shawn Alderman; mother, Minnie McDowell-Brown, (Bonus Mother) Monica Brooks, (Bonus daughter) Kearna; children, three daughters, Ayanna Alderman (Gail Tucker), Shay-na Alderman (Chris Mayo) and RaShawnda Alderman; only son, John Eric Alderman Jr.; grandchildren, Shayonna Dailey, Aryonna Mayo, Tatyanna Chandler, Andre Campbell, Kamari Alderman, Ariyan Mayo, and Armani Mayo; sisters, Stacey Dorsey (Brian), Sarleah White (Sharahn) Vonnetta Nesmith (James), Dora Brown; brothers, Frank Alderman Jr., Donte Brown (Lori), Dennis Brown Jr. Dominick Brown (Faith); also his childhood best friend Tony and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, many other relatives as well as friends to cherish all the good times.
