Jasmine Demon Brunson Jr

Jasmine Demon Brunson Jr. was born on January 4, 2005, in Baltimore, Maryland. The only son to Tiffany Hair and Jasmine Demon Brunson Sr. Jasmine, was known by his family and friends as Jack, Jay, Little Jasmine, Lil Gotti, or Jaz. On May 13, 2022, Jasmine was unexpectedly called home. Eventhough, this day was far from anticipated, it brought great joy to know that the moments leading up to his junior prom were some of his happiest. He was overjoyed with excitement, which was felt by all who were present that day and even by those who were not able to be present. From the moment that Jasmine was born, there was something significantly special about him, greatness was embedded in his DNA. Jasmine grew up far too quickly from the hazel-eyed baby who loved bath time to the deep raspy voiced little boy who often got in trouble for saying inappropriate words, which we we’ll fail to mention. Ms. Sallah and his grandpop always instilled the importance of respect and education in Jack’s upbringing, which contributed to him being a well-disciplined young man. He grew up the only boy amongst sisters, and was the only child from his mother for eight years, this often led to Jay standing his ground; we think this may have been where his love for boxing originated from. There were times after his younger sister Ja’kayla was born, they would fuss over spending time with their mother, mainly about who was going to sleep in the bed. As Jasmine grew older there was no doubt his sisters were his world, which made him an overly protective brother. He knew his oldest sister Jala was always a phone call away if he needed her, his little sister Saniah could always count on him for anything she needed, and his youngest sister Ja’kayla was his shadow and emulated everything he did. Jasmine grew up in Baltimore city and attended Baltimore city public schools. He was well liked and known for joking and playing around, sometimes too the extreme, none the less he was loved by all he encountered. As he grew, he became a respectful, well-mannered, and family oriented young man. Jasmine fell in love with boxing, swimming, video games, and anything water related. He made it a priority that after school he went to the gym to perfect his skills, more often than none being one of the last to leave the gym. His love for the water derived from his mother growing up on the water in Cobb Island, Maryland; this is probably the reason why Jay also loved crabs. His success at becoming a lifeguard and boxing cannot be thought of without giving thanks to his coaches who gave him the opportunity to live out these passions and simply shine as the star he was. However, the people most accredited for these accomplishments are Jasmine’s grandfather and father who helped guide him down the right path. His father was consistent with making sure that little Jasmine was involved in extracurricular activities throughout the year, this consistency and dedication to his son was proved a success as he exceled at each activity, he was involved in. Little Jasmine or Jack as his grandpop called him, strived for greatness at everything he did, this made him so significantly special. Outside of swimming and boxing, spending time with family was what Jasmine enjoyed the most. From the time he was born his mother was his first best friend, there was nothing she would not do for him and nothing he would not do for her. Time spent with his father provided the strength he had to become the young man he was. Let’s not forget his fashion sense, he got that from his father as well. When it came to spending time at his grandmother’s house, there are too many memories to choose from but, one thing that he never forgot to tell her it was that he was her cutest grandchild, jokingly but serious. Growing up as a small child at his grandparents’ house he would often take boxes and in play in them for hours until he was found asleep inside. Jay enjoyed spending Christmas holidays with his mother and aunts in Southern Maryland. Although he enjoyed his time in the country, he was much more of a city kid. Jaz enjoyed spending time with all his cousins, mostly Jordan and Nijae, and playing Madden, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, and Fortnite with his best friend, Travon. No matter how tall he got, he was such a big kid, he played with everyone from little kids to adults, from always joking to play fighting. Aside from his playful ways he always showed his family that he loved him, no matter the situation. Jasmine was happy and proud of his accomplishments; he knew by continuing his hard work that his wish of growing up and being able to move his family wherever his success took him would come true. Jasmine Demon Brunson Jr. was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karen Butler; grandfather, Sidney Hair II; two uncles, Sidney Hair III and Donte Spencer Downer. His memory will be treasured by his parents, Tiffany Hair and Jasmine Brunson, Sr.; sisters, Jala Roberts, Saniah Brunson, and JaKayla Henry; grandfather, Curtis Brunson; grandmother, Rhonda Plummer; bonus grandmother, Sallah Jenkins; aunts, Fonda Plummer, Dawn Palmer, Ariel Brunson, Alicia Hair, Jessica Hair, Elizabeth Kling; uncles, Henry Plummer, Curtis Ballard; a second grandmother, his favorite cousins, Jordan Alford and Nijae Taylor; best friend, Travon Calhoun and a host of loving relatives and friends.
