Paresh Vinubhai Rami

Paresh V. Rami was born in Bombay, India on April 23rd, 1964 to Mr. Vinubhai and Mrudula Rami. As a son, Paresh held his parents in deep reverence, especially in their later years. He offered his time, love, and care without hesitation, making their well-being and legacy a central part of his life. Being a son meant something profound to him, he never forgot where he came from. His devotion brought him a deep sense of purpose, even when it asked much of him. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting in 1985. In 1990, he immigrated to the United States with the hope of building a better life for himself, a hope he fulfilled through hard work, determination, and quiet resilience. He worked hard and earned his career as a banker at Riggs Bank eventually transitioning to becoming a business professional as a motel owner. In 1994 he married Shreya Maniar and they started their life together in Maryland, USA. They welcomed their two children Hemali and Hershal. Paresh cared deeply about his family. He passed down values that have stayed with us, like unwavering kindness, treating every stranger with respect and dignity, the importance of doing what is right, and a sense of humor that helped carry us through hard times. Paresh’s spiritual journey began early in life, shaped by a family deeply rooted in the teachings of Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB). From childhood, the principles of meditation, moral living, and devotion to the Master were a central part of his upbringing. His daily meditation and spiritual discipline brought him peace, strength, and a sense of purpose that never wavered. RSSB wasn’t just a path he followed, it was part of who he was. From a young age, Paresh dreamed of one day completing seva for the Master. With God’s grace that dream became a reality in 2024, and he fulfilled it with deep gratitude and humility. Paresh was also a loyal and kind friend. He valued his friends in his life, with several of his friendships lasting over 40 years. He was friendly to everyone, no matter where they came from, and had a way of making people feel comfortable. He was quick to make a joke and loved to laugh, often bringing joy to those around him. His friendships meant a lot to him, and he cared deeply for the people he called friends. Paresh’s death was unexpected. On August 19th, he underwent a heart bypass surgery. While the procedure itself was successful, the recovery process proved to be extremely difficult. His condition fluctuated in the days following, and despite his strength and determination, his body ultimately could not recover. He remained in the ICU for 18 days before passing peacefully on September 6th at 3:04 pm. With a heart full of optimism and a spirit grounded in positivity, he faced life with quiet strength and steady grace until his last moments. Today, he is survived by his devoted wife Shreya, his children Hemali and Hershal, and many others who considered him family.
