Gloria B. Ajetunmobi

Gloria Biola Ajetunmobi (née Braihmah) was born in September 1953 to Pa Braihmah Olagunju and Braihmah Oladoyin. The fifth of eight children, she was a devoted daughter and a loving sister whose caring and compassionate nature was evident from an early age. She spent her childhood between Ghana and Nigeria, where she formed the values of faith, family, and service that would guide her throughout her life. Following the completion of her education, Gloria embarked on a distinguished professional journey, working for respected organizations including Société Générale Bank. A woman of remarkable determination and lifelong learning, she continually sought to grow both personally and professionally. Throughout her life, she earned numerous degrees and certifications. Shortly after she moved to Maryland, USA with her family in 1999, she obtained her nursing license in her fifties —a testament to her perseverance, resilience, and unwavering commitment to serving others. Nursing was more than a profession to Gloria; it was a calling. She cared for every patient with extraordinary compassion, treating each one as though they were a member of her own family. Her gentle spirit, attentive care, and genuine kindness endeared her to countless patients, many of whom insisted on having her as their sole nurse. To know Gloria was to experience compassion in action. Gloria also had a gift of languages, she spoke five unique languages. In 1980, Gloria met the love of her life, Ezekiel. They were traditionally married in 1981 and held a church wedding in 1982. They built a beautiful life together, blessed with four children: Mary, Paul, John, and Solomon. Their marriage was a shining example of love, partnership, and devotion. Rarely was one seen without the other, and together they created a home filled with warmth, faith, and unconditional love. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Gloria embodied selfless love. She poured herself wholeheartedly into the care of her family, making countless sacrifices to ensure their well-being, happiness, and success. Though she was the proud mother of four biological children and had three biological grandchildren (Ope, Tani and Tobi), her boundless love extended far beyond them. Many others affectionately called her “Mommy” and “Grandma” and she embraced each of them with the same warmth, generosity, and unwavering affection. As a sister, aunt, and friend, she was deeply caring, fiercely protective, and always ready to offer encouragement and support. One of Gloria’s most enduring qualities was her radiant smile. She possessed a joyful spirit that brightened every room she entered and had a remarkable gift for bringing comfort, hope, and happiness to those around her. Her kindness was effortless, her humility genuine, and her generosity knew no bounds. Above all, Gloria loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was the foundation of her life and shone through her words, her actions, and the way she loved others. She found great joy in praising God and faithfully served for many years as a member of her church choir, using her beautiful voice to glorify Him. Her unwavering trust in God remained her strength through every season of life. Though Gloria’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, her legacy lives on. She will forever be remembered for her steadfast faith, boundless compassion, infectious joy, quiet strength, and extraordinary selflessness. Her life was a beautiful reflection of God’s love, and the countless lives she touched stand as a lasting testament to a life well lived.
