Daryl Robinson

Daryl Francis Robinson joyfully entered this world on October 7, 1981, in Baltimore, MD to the proud parents of Gloria Jean Robinson and the late Robert T. Powell. The angels quietly swept Daryl away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. At an early age, Daryl began to show his love of sports. In 1986 the family moved to Radcliff, Kentucky. While living in Kentucky, he joined a little league football and baseball team coached and mentored by Howard Lavender of Nashville, TN. Under Coach Lavender’s tutelage, he became the star running back for the 49ers football team helping them to achieve several championship titles. In addition to football, Daryl was a baseball enthusiast known for his batting and pitching abilities. The family relocated to Cincinnati, OH, where Daryl attended Colerain High School. He excelled in academics while pursuing his love of football. He earned a tailback position on the Colerain Cardinals football team. After graduating in 2000, he was awarded a football scholarship to Miami University at Oxford, OH. He was an outstanding student and athlete proudly wearing #27 for the university’s RedHawks football team. While an undergraduate, he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated becoming a devoted Nupe. Daryl cherished his hometown team, the Cincinnati Bengals. Daryl was one of the nicest and kindest souls you could ever meet. He always had a smile of gold every time you saw him. He was born with an entrepreneurial spirit and always dreamed of opening his own business. While illness thwarted the implementation of his plans, he never stopped working to execute his dream of owning residential and commercial cleaning services - Robinson Glass Cleaning Services and Mr. 52 Pick-Up. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, and a true friend. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. Daryl was preceded in death by his father Robert T. Powell, beloved grandmother, Fayrine R. Robinson and uncle, Timothy Lee Robinson. To celebrate his life and cherish his memory he leaves: his mother, Gloria Jean Robinson; brother Reginald Marcus Robinson-Ashby; uncle, Leonard Roland Robinson (Helen); aunts, Dorothy Robertson, Paula B. Cullings and Ira Ashby-Hope (Willie); a host of cousins, Gloria Angela Robinson Rodriguez, Shawn Kelvin Robinson (Michelle); Timira Robinson, Tori Robinson, Terri Robertson, John Robertson (Jenny), Tasha Nicole “Nikki” Cullings; Karla Pryor (Will), Kenneth Cullings (Tanya) and host of additional relatives and friends.
